Program Overview

Pre-primary education consists of a three-year program (nursery school) for children aged 3 to 6, focusing on holistic development, school readiness, and cognitive, social, and emotional skills through play-based learning.
AGE : Admitted children are aged 3–6. Nursery is serving as a preparatory phase for primary school.
CURRICULUM: A Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC) is used, focusing on child-centered learning and, increasingly, "Learning through Play" (LtP).
LANGUAGE: Instruction Language is English

Skills and Competencies

  • Pre-primary students (ages 3–5) develop foundational skills through play, focusing on holistic growth across key domains. Core competencies include communication (language, listening), social-emotional regulation (sharing, empathy), fine/gross motor coordination (drawing, running), and early cognitive abilities like numeracy, shape recognition, and basic problem-solving.
  • SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SKILLS: Developing empathy, sharing, turn-taking, resolving conflicts with peers, and identifying/expressing emotions.
  • COMMUNICATION AND LANGUAGE: Asking questions, following 2-3 step directions, improved pronunciation, and engaging in conversations.
  • COGNITIVE AND PRE-ACADEMIC SKILLS: Recognizing numbers (1-10+), identifying shapes and colors, understanding concepts like "full" vs. "empty," and early literacy (recognizing letters in their name).
  • PHYSICAL/MOTOR SKILLS:
  • Fine Motor: Using safety scissors, proper pencil grip, drawing shapes (circles, squares), and manipulating building blocks.
  • Gross Motor: Running, jumping, climbing, and balancing on one foot.
  • INDEPENDANCE AND SELF-CARE: Managing personal hygiene (handwashing, bathroom use), dressing themselves, and cleaning up toys.
  • CREATIVITY AND PROBLE SOLVING: Engaging in imaginative play, constructing with materials, and trying new approaches to challenges.
